    In his message, Wolfgang Sobotka congratulated Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on his election as Iranian Parliament Speaker.

    “Parliaments are the beating hearts of democracy and international interaction between the parliaments can play a key role in building trust and de-escalating tensions,” Wolfgang Sobotka said.

    He expressed hope that the friendly parliamentary relations between Iran and Austria expand during Ghalibaf’s tenure.

    Tehran (ISNA) – officials of Iran’s Tourism Ministry unveiled the first hotel capsule in the country on Sunday June 14 in Tehran.

    Two hundred capsule hotels will be available soon in the top traveler destination cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz and Tabriz.

    Education Minister Mohsen Haji Mirzaei and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi delivered speeches in today’s open session of the Parliament.

    Tehran (ISNA) – The veteran Iranian actor Mohammad Ali Keshavarz passed away on Sunday June 14 at the age of 90 in Tehran.

    Born on April 15, 1930, in the city of Isfahan, Keshavarz was among the five legendary actors in the history of Iran’s theatre and cinema, out of whom only one is now alive.

    The deceased had achieved the top medal of Iranian Culture and Arts for acting a broad range of roles.

“Just 6.5” invited to Jeonju Int’l Film Festival


 

 

  • “Just 6.5” invited to Jeonju Int’l Film Festival

    Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival will hold physical screenings of its competition titles from May 28 to June 6 exclusively for competition filmmakers and jury members. Online screenings will also be held for public audiences during those dates. It will screen “key titles” in theatres for public audiences from June 9 to September 20.

    “Just 6.5” represents Iran in the category of Cinemafest of the Jeonju International Film Festival.

    Feature films from the UK and Germany, along with three Japanese films will also compete in the category.
